FAQs

Do I need to set up an appointment?

Yes! No walk-ins allowed at this time. We recommend you schedule your appointment 1-2 weeks in advance as our appointment availability fills quickly.

What is an elective ultrasound?

An elective ultrasound is a limited non-diagnostic ultrasound, it does not screen for anomalies or defects, or any other pregnancy related issues.

Does this replace diagnostic ultrasound done at my Doctor’s office?

NOT AT ALL! We provide elective ultrasound sessions for family bonding only. At Hello Baby! We provide a 2D/3D/4D imaging session that in no way replaces a full diagnostic ultrasound performed by your Doctor.

Do I need to have seen my Doctor prior to scheduling my appointment?

YES! In order to receive an elective ultrasound at Hello Baby! You must be receiving prenatal care by a certified physician and have received a full diagnostic ultrasound. You will be asked your physician’s name, last visit date, address, and phone number.

Will the gender be revealed during the session?

Only if you want! During a gender reveal session gender will be provided. In any other session you will be asked if you would like to know the gender of your baby. NOTE: Baby must cooperate! We do not guarantee gender. If we cannot obtain gender during your session we will invite you back 1 more time free of charge. Full 2D/Gender session must be paid on first appointment.

When is the best time to schedule my ultrasound?

At least 16 weeks for gender reveal 2D ultrasound, and at least 26 weeks for 3D-4D-HD ultrasound.

How should I prepare for my session?

Drink plenty of water. Start hydrating 1-2 weeks prior to your session, UNLESS YOUR DOCTOR HAS ORDERED YOU OTHERWISE. keep in mind that the 3D-4D-5D imaging only works when there's plenty of amniotic fluid available in front of baby's face. For more tips on how to prepare for your session please call us at 956-777-4916.

PLEASE FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS ON WATER AND DIET RESTRICTIONS.

What happens if we cannot see baby during a 3D4D5D session?

The quality of images mostly depends on baby's position and amount of amniotic fluid available. As much as we would love to obtain amazing images for everyone that is not always the case. If we are unable to obtain any images of your baby's face during your session we will invite you back for 1 more session free of charge. Full session price must be paid during your first appointment.

Does my insurance cover the cost?

No. This is an elective ultrasound done for non-medical purposes and it is not covered by insurance.

How can I pay?

We take cash, major credit cards. and afterpay.
